Install Guide

Wcities PodCityGuides provide information for over 300 cities worldwide. You can download PodCityGuides to your 3G,4G, 5G iPod, iPod Photo, iPod Mini, iPod Nano, or iPod Video.

TO INSTALL:
  • Download the application from www.podcityguides.com. The application is approximately 2.6 MB's and will only work on PC's.
    The application will not work on a MAC. If you are using a MAC, please download the Zip file of the city of choice here download now.
  • In order for the application to recognize your iPod you must first enable your iPod as a Hard Disk.

TO ENABLE IPOD AS HARD DISK:
  • Connect your iPod to your computer.
  • Select your iPod in the iTunes source list and click options button.

  • Click 'Enable disk use'.

When iPod is used as hard disk, iPod icon appears on the desktop on Mac, or as a next available drive letter in Explorer on Windows PC.

INSTALL APPLICATION:
  • Click on "PODCityGuides.msi". This will run the application installation.
  • Read the license agreement and click "I Agree".
  • Continue to follow the prompts until the Application is installed.

LAUNCHING APPLICATION:
  • Once the application is installed, just plug in your iPod. The application will run in the desktop tray, and can be customized by clicking on the icon. trayImage
  • There will also be a desktop shortcut that you can click on to start the application at anytime. desktopShortcut

TO VIEW GUIDES ON YOUR iPod:
  • Disconnect the iPod from your computer, and from your main iPod menu, select EXTRAS > NOTES > WCITIES CITY GUIDE
  • Use your main button to follow a link, or your MENU button to go "back".
